This is my personal favorite! Aside from the classic books there are the classic narrators that make this collection of audio books extra special, names such as Orson Welles, Sir John Gieguld, Thomas Hardy, Sir Laurence Olivier, William Burroughs, and others are among the readers.
I could honestly spend the next twenty years going through their collection. There’s also some great women authors in there, like Jane Austen, Emily Dickenson, Charlotte Bronte and others but unfortunately not many female narrators.
Here's their rave:
"Download hundreds of free audio books, mostly classics, to your MP3 player or computer. Below, you'll find great works of fiction, poetry and non-fiction, by such authors as Twain, Tolstoy, Hemingway, Orwell, Vonnegut, Nietzsche, Austen, Shakespeare, Asimov, HG Wells & more.
